Inspired by the hauntingly hopeful lyrics of Cat Stevens’ “Moonshadow”, as well as my newest rescue by the same name, Moonshadow Photography speaks to the light found in dark places — and the beauty that often hides in the shadows. Just like the dogs I work with, the song is about resilience, acceptance, and choosing to see the joy in what remains.

Every session is guided by patience, empathy, and deep respect for each dog’s journey. Whether a dog is still searching for a forever home or finally safe in one, I aim to capture the spirit that makes them who they are — the softness, the silliness, the scars, and the strength.
